BOF Slag Line Self-Flow Repair Mix
(Converter Hot Repair Material)
BOF Slag Line Self-Flow Repair Mix is a hot repair material specially developed for early-worn areas of the converter, including the trunnion zone, slag line (large face), small face, and around the taphole. It is manufactured from high-purity magnesia and synthetic dolomite, combined with a specially formulated organic binder and functional additives through a thermal mixing process.
Under high-temperature converter conditions, the material exhibits excellent self-flowing properties. During converter tilting, the repair mix automatically flows into eroded cavities and damaged zones under gravity, spreads evenly, and sinters rapidly to form a dense repair layer.
It is designed for periodic maintenance of BOF operations, effectively reducing downtime, extending campaign life, and ensuring stable and continuous steelmaking performance.
